The room was adorable, everyone who worked there was incredibly nice, and they gave us cold lemon-scented towels and pineapple rosemary ice water everytime we came back from an adventure. But I also loved the decor which was all designed by Jonathan Adler who I’m obsessed with. It was a bit off the beaten path which was nice because I’m an old lady and appreciate that. We were lucky enough to stay at the Eau Resort & Spa thanks to Jet Blue Getaways. They have a great selection of flavors and talk about Insta-worthy! Look at that facade. I only had a bite of Anel’s stacked cone from Sloane’s but holy sh*& was it good. It’s basically a smaller 5th avenue, but much cuter! Although I wasn’t able to do any damage in Chanel, it was fun to window shop and explore the beautiful alleys along the way. Worth Ave hosts everything from Chanel to Lilly Pulitzer to a host of antique shops to restaurants and more. While there’s a lot to do in this bustling town, make sure you give yourself at least an hour each day to enjoy the gorgeous beaches. It was worth it though, as this was one of my favorite parts of our entire trip. By the time we completed our ride, it was 11am and we were dripping in sweat. If you’re there in a wamer month like we were, I recommend doing this first thing in the morning. On Saturday we rented bikes from the Palm Beach Bicycle Trail Shop and biked along Lake Trail, basically a wide sidewalk with the water (full of yachts) on one side and pretty insane mansions on the other. I got one of the best martinis I’ve had in years and Anel enjoyed a stiff dark & stormy under the palm printed overhang, next to the pool. I always love it when a bar doesn’t have a menu because it forces you to either get creative or know what you want. We shot all of the photos from this post there so you can probably tell from those why I loved it.Īnother old-school situation, the Palm Court at The Colony Hotel was pretty great for people watching and a stunning setting with blue striped umbrellas and purple bougainvillea everywhere. I tried the asian salad and the cobb and added grilled chicken both times, so good! They also have pretty great cocktails. The fish tacos were out of this world and the salad selections were primo. We ate at this adorably striped outdoor venue at our hotel twice. We went way overboard, ordering multiple dishes but the highlights of the meal were the sliders (seriously), shrimp pad thai, warm Brussels sprouts salad, and duck bao buns. The menu is tapas style so prepare to share. The vibe is very Mad Men (the early seasons) with cocktail waitresses milling about the grandious space in black dresses and pearls, carrying trays of Manhattans and martinis. If the price range is a little high, go for a cocktail. If you do one big meal in Palm Beach, it should 100% be here. Our dinner at HMF was by far the culinary highlight of the trip. In the end I went with the Ahi Surfer’s Sushi bowl with sesame lemon-soy vinaigrette and sesame rice while Anel had his usual fish tacos. It took me 20 minutes to decide because I wanted it all. I thought that was all fine and dandy until I saw the menu. It’s another more casual venue with Lilly Pulitzer fabric on all the seats. Loved the food, loved the casual ambiance, loved it all!Įvery single person who gave me their list of restaurants in Palm Beach mentioned Nick & Johnnies. They were able to make me a gluten free version, parmesan-only version of their Siciliana pizza that knocked my socks off. Twinkle lights surrounded the cutest courtyard where we enjoyed red wine and incredible pizza at Pizza Al Fresco. I even discovered the cutest brand of iced matcha… How cute is that little can? We went once for breakfast and then again for a smoothie (PB&J) when Anel got ice cream one afternoon and there was no dairy free option for me.Ī lot of Palm Beach is really fancy and while I love a good fancy meal once in a while, Anel and I prefer to keep it casual. My friend Jess recommended The Island Bee because she knows how much I care about healthy meals… even on vacation! From delicious acai bowls to the freshest avocado toast to organic coffee, this was basically my dream restaurant. Now if someone could just give me a couple of mill so I could by a mansion on the water there, that would be great! I definitely want to go back soon to explore more and promise to add to this list when I do, but I think it’s a pretty great start! From healthy meals to decadent cocktail lists from hotel recommendations, enjoy this guide to this art deco inspired city. As promised on Monday, here is my guide to Palm Beach based on the few days that we enjoyed there.
